9 Insanely Effective Manifesting Journal Examples
What you focus on, you create. Therefore, when you are trying to manifest something in your life, the more you focus on it with good intentions the faster it will come to you. A manifestation journal is one of the most effective ways to do this.
A manifestation journal helps to speed up your manifestations, raise your vibration and direct your focus on what you want. It can also be used for healing old wounds. Healing is just as important when manifesting and working with the law of attraction.
There are many different types of manifestation journals that can help you achieve your goals. Which one you use depends on your goals and where you are.
You know intuitively which one will work best for you for where you are. So, tune into your intuition and pick the one that resonates with you the most, to begin with.
What is a Manifestation Journal?
A manifestation journal is a tool you use where you deliberately focus on manifesting your desires. You don’t need one to manifest, however like any tool it helps to speed up the process and makes it easier for you.
Some of these manifesting journal examples below are about releasing resistance and limiting beliefs. While others are about focusing on the feeling of what you want to experience to bring it into your physical reality.
There’s no one way to do a manifestation journal and there are plenty of different ones you can try. Pick one or 2 to start with that you are the most drawn to and start with those. Then add in new ones and change it up as you go. Really follow your intuition and which one feels the best for you at this time.
There will be times where you need to do more shadow work types of journals such as letting go of things. Other times you will be more drawn to writing out appreciation and gratitude lists. It all depends on what energy you are in.

Manifestation Journal Examples
1. 55×5 Method
The 55×5 method is a manifestation technique to help bring your manifestations closer to you. It works by getting you to focus on your goals.
Where you put your attention and focus is essentially where your energy is going. So, if you are focusing on what you want in a high vibration, it will bring it closer to you.
This method is fairly simple to do. You write down a sentence with your goal on it 55 times for 5 days in a row. You want to write it out in present tense as if it is happening now. You will write this one sentence 55 times in a row over 5 days.
For example, if you want to manifest your dream house you might write something like, “I am now living in my dream house” or “I’m so excited that I am now in my dream home” or “I am so grateful that I am living in my dream home”.
You can use the 55×5 manifesting method for anything you want. Although I do recommend starting small and working your way up. Start with something that you believe is possible and that you have less resistance to as a way to practice. Of course, it’s up to you how you want to do it! You can try out different things and see which ones work best for you.

2. Gratitude List
Gratitude is an emotion that carries one of the highest frequencies. If you can get into a state of gratitude, it will raise your vibration. When you have a high vibration, you attract to yourself things you want with the law of attraction. Therefore, writing out a gratitude list every day will help to shift your frequency.
A gratitude list can be anything big or small that you are grateful for in your life. It doesn’t matter so much what it is but how it makes you feel. If you can find things that bring you more love and high emotions, the better it is. So, always try to feel the emotion when doing this one.
A few examples of things you may be grateful for are:
- Your house
- Your dog
- The Sunrise
- Your healthy body
- Beautiful weather
- Your morning coffee
- Cuddles with your cat
- Your kid’s smile
- Healthy food
- Fresh air
- The new shirt you bought this week
- Your upcoming trip to the Caribbean
3. Appreciation / Self-Love List
What do you appreciate about yourself? When you are manifesting, if you don’t feel good about yourself then it will be more difficult to manifest. If you don’t feel worthy, then you will be emitting that frequency.
Luckily, you can shift your frequency within you by focusing on the right things. So, instead of beating yourself up about what you don’t like about yourself and looking for what’s wrong with you, shift your focus to the opposite.
What’s great about you?
What do you appreciate and love about yourself?
What are a few things that you are really good at?
If you can shift your focus to the good things about yourself, then you will begin to raise your vibration and heal any self-limiting beliefs.
This, in turn, helps you to manifest. When you place a higher value on yourself, it will be reflected in the outside world, and it will bring you things to show you this.
Every day, write out 5 things that you like about yourself and that you appreciate about yourself. You can also write out things that you think you are really good at. Here are a few examples:
- I love how organized I am
- I appreciate how good my body works
- I am so good at taking care of my family
- I appreciate how motivated I am
- I love how kind I am
- I am great at working with others and appreciate how compassionate I am
- I really love my smile
- I am so good at doing my internal work even though it can be challenging
4. Scripting Your Life
I once heard a story of a man who wanted to change his life. So, he decided that every day he’d script out what he wanted as if it was happening in the present tense.
He was an actor, so he scripted out what he did on set, the jokes that his co-workers told, and what they ate for lunch. He included many details.
He didn’t believe it at first, but he kept going. Once he got to his second month of scripting, he started to believe it a little bit more but still wasn’t convinced.
By the third month, he fully felt that was his reality and he got the acting job he wanted in the month after he believed it. He didn’t get the job and then believe it. He believed it, THEN he got the job.
Scripting is basically writing out what you want in the present tense. It is like journaling, but you are being creative and not writing what actually happened, but what you want to happen. It helps if you can put feeling behind the words, you write out. The more you bring yourself into the experience, the quicker it will manifest into your reality.
Like my example above, you likely won’t believe it at first. But the more you do it and bring it into your awareness, the more you will begin to believe it.
5. Good Things That Happened Today List
Another great manifestation journal idea you can try is writing out a list of good things that happened in your day. This is different than a gratitude list. A gratitude list is what you appreciate, but this is a list of things that actually went well in your day.
Most people have a tendency to focus on what goes wrong in their life and that brings their vibration down. But if you can focus on what went well it will raise your vibration and help you to manifest quicker.
At the end of the day, write out 5 things that went well in your day. Replay your day and write everything out on paper. Some days this will be easier than others. If you are finding it difficult, simplify it. Write down even the smallest things.
Perhaps you felt a little better than usual? Or maybe your drive to work went a bit smoother than normal? Maybe the sun was out a little bit longer and it felt good to you. Whatever it is, write it down.
As you do this every day, you will notice that more good things start to happen to you. This is because this is what you are focused on. What you focus on expands. If you are focused on good things happening to you, then more good things will happen to you. You may notice that your list even begins to get longer than 5 items. If it does, be sure to acknowledge them and write them down too!
6. Brain Dump
When you have a million thoughts in your head, it’s hard to focus on your manifestations with a clear head. Every time you go to focus on them, your other thoughts keep popping up and distracting you. You want to get those thoughts out of your head so that you can have a clear head when going to visualize what you want.
The best way to clear your thoughts is to do a brain dump. Sit down and write out everything in your head no matter how silly or unimportant it may seem.
You know how you feel better when you pour your heart out to a friend or a loved one? This is similar in that you are pouring your heart out to yourself. If you want to invite your spirit guides and angels to share what is on your mind you can always do that as well by simply asking.
You will feel so much better after doing this and be able to focus in a much clearer way. I recommend doing this whenever you feel overwhelmed by your thoughts. That might be every day for you or every few months.
7. Dream Log
A dream log is a great manifestation journal because it shows you many things that you may not be aware of in your waking state. When you are in your dream state, you are more open and receptive to receiving information.
Many things happen in your dreams, including traveling to different dimensions to do things there, connecting with past loved ones, connecting with your spiritual team and higher self, and allowing your subconscious to work out and heal aspects that are on your mind that require healing.
You can ask for guidance and answers in your dream state. Simply ask your spirit guides, angels, higher self, or creator to give you information while you sleep.
Be sure to write down everything you remember when you wake up as soon as you wake up. If you wait, then you will forget. Have your manifestation dream log beside your bed with a pen handy or say it out loud into a recorder.
The more you do this, the easier it will be to interpret the messages you are receiving. They will start to make sense and you will know how to apply them to your daily life.
Always go back to your dreams later in the day when you are more grounded to help you understand the messages better. It will make much more sense later than when you first wake up.
As another benefit, when you write out your dreams and replay them in your head, it strengthens your third eye. Going over and remembering what happened helps you to develop your clairvoyance. As you use that muscle, it gets stronger and stronger.
8. Relationship Appreciation List
This is a great one to do if you want to strengthen your relationship with someone or heal it. No matter if they are in your life or not, you can heal your relationship.
In this journaling prompt, you write down everything that you appreciate about the other person. Even if you have to dig a bit, think about the things that you really admire about them. Everyone has something that is admirable, even if they drive you crazy at other times.
You will find as you do this, the person will show up differently. It might be slow, but they will begin to show you more aspects of themselves to appreciate because that is what you are focused on.
This is also great if you are having a conflict with someone. Write down everything you love about them and focus on all the positive traits they have. You will begin to attract more pleasing aspects to them, and it will shift the energy dynamic between the two of you.
Pick 5-10 things you appreciate about this person and write them down every day. Also, try your best to feel how much you appreciate them and put as much energy into it as you can. The more emotion is attached, the stronger this manifestation journal exercise will be.
If you are in a conflict with them, this might be more difficult. If this is the case, I recommend focusing on them only if you can do so in a positive way. If your mind starts going to the negative, then that is enough for now. If you can only write down 1 good aspect of them to start with, that is ok as well. The more you do it, the more resistance you will release towards them.
Here are a few relationship manifestation journal examples:
- I appreciate how she is always upbeat and positive
- I value his integrity
- I’m grateful for how she is always there for me
9. Feeling Intentions Journaling
How do you want to feel today? Write it down. When you start your day with no idea of how you want to feel then life will give you whatever it sees fit. But, if you tell it how you want to experience your day, then it will bring you experiences to help you feel that way. What you focus on and intend is what you attract.
On different days you will want to feel different things so it’s important to get clear on what you want to experience.
In the morning, write down a few ideas of how you want to feel that day. Here are a few examples:
Today I Intend to Feel:
- Productive
- Healthy
- Beautiful
- Excited
- Grateful
- Abundant
- Successful
- Handsome
I Intend to Experience:
- Laughter
- Fun
- Love
- Excitement
- Moments of feeling present
- Joy
Keep Your Manifestation Journal Your Secret
I find it’s best when doing this work to keep it a secret. You only want your energy in your journal. If you begin to tell others what you are doing, then their energy will enter and change the whole dynamic.
Your manifestation journals are for you to connect to your soul and higher self. They are a way to connect to your own energy and feel what you truly want (not what other people want or expect.)
Of course, it’s up to you. But personally, I’ve found these manifestation exercises much more powerful when it’s only your own energy in them.
Final Thoughts – What Is a Manifestation Journal & How Can It Help You?
Once you start working with a manifestation journal, you will see evidence in your outside world of a shift. It may be small at first and then grow into something bigger. Pay attention because if you see the signs, you will know it’s working.
If you don’t feel like what you are doing is working, then consider switching to a different type of manifestation journal. Different ones help you at different times and will be used by you at different times in your life depending on where you are.
Be sure to also record the evidence you see of your manifestation journal working. This can be small or big. The more you notice it, the more evidence you will see. Remember, what you focus on you create. If you see the things that are working you will get more evidence of things working. If you see things that aren’t working you will get more evidence of that.
The most important thing is how your manifestation journal makes you feel. Notice how you feel before and after doing it. If you feel better after doing it, then it’s working. If you feel your vibration raise, keep doing it. If you feel relief (perhaps from crying) it’s working as it’s helping you to release resistance.
Which manifestation journal are you going to start with first? Pick one today and commit to doing it every day.
