What Are Chakras & How Do They Affect Your Life?
What are chakras & how do they affect your life? You’ve probably heard the term chakra before and have wondered what exactly is it referring to? You cannot see your chakras with your naked eye so it is a bit more difficult to understand what exactly they are.
Some intuitive people can see chakras though through their third eye vision but most people can’t see them on themselves or anybody else.
You have 7 major chakras in your human body. Chakras are spinning energy vortexes that are located within your body hence they are your life force.
When you have balanced chakras life flows smoothly and you feel great. When they are imbalanced you will develop physical and emotional issues to alert you that something isn’t right.
Your chakras can become imbalanced from mental, spiritual, emotional, and physical traumas from this lifetime or other lifetimes you’ve lived.
Chakras are the Same Colors as the Rainbow
Your chakras are the same colors as the rainbow therefore it’s easy to remember the order of them. If you’ve ever heard the saying that the rainbow colors are: ROY G BIV.
Starting from the base of the spine they travel up your body in the same order as the rainbow.
Below is an ordered list of the chakras, the color associated with each one, and in what area of your body they are located.
- 1st Chakra – Root Chakra – Red – Base of Spine
- 2nd Chakra – Sacral Chakra – Orange – Lower abdominal region below the navel
- 3rd Chakra – Solar Plexus – Yellow – Abdominal area near the navel and above
- 4th Chakra – Heart Chakra – Green – By your heart and chest
- 5th Chakra – Throat Chakra – Blue – By your throat and neck
- 6th Chakra – Third Eye Chakra – Indigo – By your third eye which is located between your eyes
- 7th Chakra – Crown Chakra – Violet – Top of your head
If your chakras are imbalanced you can get physical and emotional signs that warn you something is wrong. If you don’t bring them back into balance the symptoms can get worse to try and get your attention.
It’s a good idea to pay attention to your body and notice when something is off. If you do notice that something isn’t right physically or emotionally, you can then look at your chakras to try to address the problem.
All the chakras work best when they are in balance. If one of your chakras is underactive another chakra will be overactive to compensate.
