Life Cycles & Seasons – Honor The One You’re In
It is important to understand that we go through different life cycles in our experience just as the seasons change. While winter may be a time of reflection and summer may be a time of action, our souls also go through cycles.
The reason it is important to understand this is because it is beneficial to work with and honor the life cycle you are in.
For example, if you are in a healing cycle, it will not benefit you to put yourself out into the world to create new things. Your soul wants to heal. It knows what is best for you. If you try to push a different circumstance, it won’t allow it the time it needs to heal.
I wrote this article to shine a light on the idea that it is ok if you just feel like staying at home and reflecting.
We often think we have to be busy all the time and if we aren’t then we aren’t contributing, or we are doing something wrong. That couldn’t be farther from the truth. There are different life cycles for a reason and each one has its place in your experience.
The Types of Life Cycles:
Ideas Cycle
The ideas cycle is all about manifesting and creating your ideas in your mind before they become solid. During this cycle, you will be thinking a lot. You may be thinking about starting something new, ending something, or changing direction with something that is already in your experience.
This is a very enjoyable cycle because you get to basically create whatever you want in your mind before you ground it into your experience. This is a great thing because you can change it up as many times as you want. Since there is nothing solid, it won’t cause a big upheaval or chaos in your life.
This cycle is all about brainstorming ideas and really getting clear about what you want. The ideas cycle is all about going within; it isn’t about the outside world so much as it is about your own personal thoughts and ideas.
Creating Cycle
The creating cycle is all about doing. During this cycle, you are going to do the action steps in order to manifest your ideas. You’ve had plenty of time to think about what you want and now it is time to make those plans concrete.
You will still have a few new ideas pop up, but the majority of this cycle is about creating your ideas into a physical form. You are now laying the groundwork for what you want and are doing things every day to make your dreams come true.
This is quite an exciting time because during this cycle you will start to see results. You will see more external things happening, whereas the ideas cycle is all about inner thoughts.
So, you will get more external feedback and will be able to work with external circumstances and people much more during this cycle. It is about coming out of your shell and showing others what you have been creating in your mind.

Transitional Cycle
This life cycle is all about shifting your current reality. It may have been brought onto you by you or by someone else.
It may be moving you to a new place from what you designed in your creating cycle. The transitional cycle can also be about endings. Often, we cannot move into a new beginning without endings. Usually, the ending comes before we know what the new beginning is.
This cycle may be confusing, exciting, and very unstable. You may be wondering what is going on (even if you created the transition). The unknown can be very scary but also very exciting at the same time.
Everything is up in the air and nothing is solid in this cycle. It is important to honor this cycle as well because it is moving you into a new place in your life. For more information about transitions check out my article 4 Signs You Are Having a Spiritual Transition.
Healing Cycle
This cycle is the most important one to be honored and not rushed through. This cycle usually follows a transitional period.
You may be healing from a physical or emotional transition. This cycle is all about reflecting and allowing yourself to heal. It is not about going out into the world and creating at full force.
If you are a real go-getter you might be confused at why you suddenly feel like doing nothing or just going within. You are probably in a healing cycle and that is why your ambitions are set to the side for now. Its important to not skip over this cycle.
Healing can come from this life or from a past life. Often, we heal things from past lives in our current life when we are ready to do so and when we are capable of doing it. The time has to be right.
So, you may in fact be healing something that you don’t even know about. That is ok, allow it to happen. Don’t rush into a creating cycle because you think that is what you should be doing. Healing cycles are very powerful for clearing out things that no longer serve you.
How Do You Know Which Life Cycle You Are In?
Many things can contribute to which cycle you are in, such as your own current personal astrological transits. You can find out more information at café astrology and at astrodienst.
The seasons can also dictate which cycle you are in:
- Spring is generally a time of starting new things and thinking about new ideas.
- Summer is putting those new ideas into action. It is a time of working on the new ideas you had in the spring to make them more solid and grounded.
- Fall is a time of wrapping up the projects that you started in the spring and generally beginning to slow down, tie up loose ends, and such.
- Winter is a time of reflection and relaxation.
Of course, this is not the case for everyone. These are general types of themes. Your personal circumstances might have you in a healing cycle right in the middle of summer and it is important to honor where you are.
The Easiest Way To Know Which Cycle You Are In Is By How You Feel:
~If you can’t stop thinking about what you are going to do next and brainstorming ideas then you are in the Ideas Cycle.
~If you find yourself doing many things, are enjoying them, and just want to go, go, go, then you are in the Creating Cycle. You will start to see external evidence during this cycle which includes: other people knowing about your ideas, people asking you about things, clients coming to you, or whatever it looks like for your particular situation. Physical manifestations are appearing.
~If a transition just occurred or you know one is about to occur then you are in the Transitional Cycle. You will know you are in this cycle if you feel very confused about what just happened or what is happening. You may also be excited about what is coming next. This cycle is very fluid.
~If you are in pain and don’t feel like doing much but reflecting and being alone, then you are in the Healing Cycle. If you feel like hiding away from the world you are probably in a healing cycle. In this life cycle, you are healing from a physical or emotional wound and are reflecting on everything.
Life Cycles & Season – Honor the One You’re In
The most important thing is to be aware of which life cycle you are in and to honor it. If you try to force another cycle because the one you are in is uncomfortable then it will only prolong it.
Sometimes it is easy to just go non-stop but it is important to allow yourself time to reflect and rest as well. Every life cycle is important and here to help you so it is important to honor them all.
