Negative Emotions & Law Of Attraction – They Aren’t As Bad As You Might Think
Negative emotions are a part of life so how do you deal with them when they show up in your experience? How do they affect the Law of Attraction?
They don’t affect the Law of Attraction as much as you might think. It is how you deal with them that affects your vibration and therefore your Law of Attraction manifestations.
Negative emotions are not the enemy and they are helpful in showing you where your vibration is.
Many people that practice deliberately using the Law of Attraction worry when negative emotions show up. You are human and will have negative emotions sometimes, it isn’t anything to beat yourself up about. They are part of life.
‘Negative’ Is the Label We Give Certain Emotions
We are the ones that label our emotions as negative or positive aka good or bad. For example, crying can be seen as a negative emotion. But crying is actually an amazing release of energy and you always feel better after you do it. The way I see it crying is actually a very good release.
Some people see anger as a negative emotion. But anger is actually higher up on the emotional scale than depression. It’s better to be angry than depressed because when you are angry you have energy moving. When you are depressed the energy isn’t moving too much.
I’ve had some of my best achievements start with anger. Anger can push you to take the first step in changing your life for the better.
It also depends on the context of the situation. Many people cry when they are very happy such as at a wedding. Either way, when they cry, they release energy that is building up and it feels good to let it out.
Negative emotions are just a label that we have developed over time. When we were little, we didn’t see it this way. We didn’t think it was bad to get angry until someone told us it was. We didn’t get upset with ourselves when we cried in public until someone told us it wasn’t appropriate.
Negative Emotions Are a Helpful Tool in Showing You Where Your Vibration Is
One thing negative emotions are helpful in is showing you where your vibration is. Don’t look at them as something that is bad, but something that is helpful in showing you where you are. If you don’t know where you are then how can you change it? Emotions tell us what we are attracting.
It’s ok to not be where you want to be. Life is hard and you learn as you go. Once you practice using the Law of Attraction you get better and better at using it. Negative emotions are a tool to help you to become an amazing manifestor.

Why Accepting Your Unwanted Emotions Helps Your Law of Attraction Manifestations
A common misconception is that your negative emotions will hinder your law of attraction results. But it is a minor detail compared to how you deal with the negative emotion and how you perceive it. Your negative reaction to your negative emotion is far worse than the actual emotions themselves.
When you feel bad that you have a negative emotion you are adding resistance to your vibration x2. So now instead of just having a negative emotion you now how a negative reaction to this emotion. Therefore, you have resistance to the thing causing your negative emotion and to the emotion itself.
For example, let’s say you feel bad about money. You don’t have enough and this causes you to feel bad. You realize that you are feeling bad about money and then you feel bad that you are having this reaction because you know it will be more difficult to manifest money in this vibration. So, you beat yourself up about your negative emotion. Now you have resistance to not having enough money as well as resistance to not being in the right vibration to use the Law of Attraction to your benefit. You have double the resistance.
If you accept that you have this emotion and allow yourself to have it then you won’t throw double resistance in your path.
When you allow something in your life it does not continue. In fact, it is quite the opposite, you allow it to change. If you are ok with your financial situation then the Law of Attraction will give you more things to be ok with. If you are upset about your financial situation then the law of attraction will give you more things to be upset about which could result in less money.
I know it’s difficult to understand this concept at times. Most people were brought up to push against what they don’t want so it will change. But it will change when you allow yourself to be where you are. It is a difficult belief to change but it is possible.
Embrace Your Negative Emotions
Next time you have a negative emotion try embracing it instead of being upset about it. See if anything changes in your life with this mindset.
One thing I can guarantee is that you will feel better because you won’t be beating yourself up for having a negative emotion. Watch how your outside world changes when you allow your negative emotions instead of labeling them as bad.

Thank you Megan this article has helped me a lot today I will try to accept the emotion and change it. Since I know the LoA I can’t help but feel continually scared to think any negative emotions since the LoA says our thoughts have so much effect. Is it true tho as I read somewhere else that positive thoughts are 10 times stronger then 1 negative thought?? That idea really comforted me. Greetings and thank you so much for making this post.
I totally understand what you mean Sammy about trying to not think any negative thoughts.
However, when a negative thought comes up and you try to not think it, that creates resistance. Therefore, you’ll manifest more resistance and more thoughts that you are resistance to.
I’ve found that the best way is to allow the thought to come up and move through you without attaching any judgment to it. If you can see it as neutral, then it will flow through you and make room for more empowering thoughts.
Sometimes a thought only needs to be seen and felt in order for it to go away. So, your negative thought just wants to be acknowledged and if you can do so without resistance, you’ll find it leaves quite quickly.
Positive thoughts are more powerful than negative thoughts so your chance of manifesting a negative thought isn’t as likely.

My cat kaattu has been missing since 29 july . We moved from assam to deheradun on 8th july and shifted to a rental house on 12 july along with my cat and her baby of 1 month at that time. She was a outdoor indoor cat in assam but here we restricted her going from outside . However she sneaked out 4 or 5 times but came again meowing . But on 29th it was her first time going out at night at around 12 .44 .and after that we haven’t found her. She is a timid cat and is scared of human beings. She only eats pedigree and a little milk . She has been with us ever since her birth and cannot live without us. I believe and trust her more than myself and cannot survive without her.
I think she is not able to find her way back here. Can you please help me to find where she is? She needs our help even when she gives kitten and is like a little baby.
What should i do when i get the negative emotions? Though i know that she will come i can see her sitting with me. I think of her when i wake up as i wake up thinking what would i do if she is here.
I am not able to go to school neither study. Before that i was a book bug and kaattu too. We are used to study together.
What should i think to bring her back?

I know how difficult it can be to try and feel ok when you’re not. It sounds like you are doing it right by visualizing her there with you. It does sound like you are putting your life on hold waiting for her which might keep the resistance strong.
My suggestion is to try your best to drop even a little bit of resistance. Do things that you’d normally do and perhaps go back to school if you are feeling up for it. By doing those things, it will help to soften the resistance.
Visualize her finding her way back to you. You don’t have to know how it will happen, just the end result (she is home) as long as it feels good. If it feels really bad, then do your best to not think of it. I know it’s tough. But, it’s about working with your emotions where they are and doing things that will allow the energy to flow again.

You say it’s a release of energy and not a negative, and then for the rest of your discussion, refer to negatives. Excuse me I’m lost. I well up with powerful emotion and a sob when I see or hear something amazing. It happened yesterday when I heard the Beatles ‘Yesterday’ for the first time in ages. It happened today when I was reading up on the cinematography employed in an epic movie. Normally I am a regular middle everything (aged, income, etc) professional with a decent if a bit boring life. Yet, since I was a pre-teen, Big Thoughts consumed me. I remember identifying azure and cerulean blue oil paints as “sky colors” and tearing up with joy as a 9 year old. My question: WTF is that? And don’t go down the ‘negatives path’ because I intuitively know it’s not negative. It’s something else akin to joy. Crying just is not a negative!

Thanks for the comment. I continue to use the word ‘negative’ to describe the emotions that people feel that they don’t like. It isn’t a bad emotion. However, for the purpose of understanding this post I use that word to describe that feeling and as a label that most people identify with.
Yes, I completely agree that crying is not a negative as I mentioned in my article. I mentioned that people cry when they are very happy also. It is a release of energy. I hope I cleared up any confusion.
