7 Law Of Attraction Misconceptions
I’ve noticed many Law of Attraction misconceptions. It seems like a simple law; think about what you want and you will receive it.
However, it is much more complex than that. There are many other factors that come into play, such as your belief systems, your life blueprint, your fears, etc.
I am here to clear up some of the common Law of Attraction misconceptions.
Law of Attraction Misconception #1 – You Attract What You Want
You don’t attract what you want, you attract what you are. In fact, it is very difficult to attract what you want. If we could all do that then everyone would be happy all the time. But it is possible.
You have a core frequency that brings to you what you are based upon your beliefs. Some of these beliefs you had before you came to earth and others you have learned while you were here.
Many of your beliefs are created during your childhood years. You can always change these beliefs. You aren’t stuck with a certain fate because you have a core belief.
Law of Attraction Misconception #2 – Everyone Wants the Same Things
I’ve noticed some people think that everyone wants the same things as them or assume that they know what someone else wants. I’ve had it happen to me. The people in my life assumed I wanted something but I really wanted something else that didn’t make sense to them.
I watched a YouTube video where this girl was an expert manifestor. She received a comment asking why she didn’t have more YouTube subscribers if she’s so good at Law of Attraction.
I have some thoughts about it. Maybe that isn’t what she wants. She may not be trying to get a ton of subscribers. But others assume that because she is on YouTube she wants a million subscribers. Maybe she only wants to reach a few people and doesn’t have the time it would require to have more subscribers. Such as the time it takes to reply to comments and emails.
Not everyone wants the same things, this is a misconception. Also, we all still need to start somewhere.
Just because someone is an expert, it doesn’t mean that they don’t have to start at the beginning for new projects and that they don’t experience struggles.
Everyone is human and we as humans want different things. Some things are important to some people and other people could care less about them. Not everyone has the same goals.

Law of Attraction Misconception #3 – Life Is Going to Be Easy if You Are Good at the Law of Attraction
Here’s the thing, no one’s life is going to be perfect. If it was then they wouldn’t be here on earth.
Before we come down to earth we pick lessons and challenges that we want to experience and overcome. This is called our soul blueprint. This means that we still have to fulfill that contract.
Law of Attraction can help us to achieve those lessons much faster and less painful than without its help. However, we can’t skip out on the life lessons we chose aka we can’t not do LIFE.
Law of Attraction Misconception #4 – You Don’t Have to Do Anything to Receive Your Manifestations
I spoke about this topic before in my article Law of Action. However, I did want to make a point to touch upon it in this article as well. It is very unlikely that you will be sitting at home and your manifestations will show up at your door. It is possible but unlikely.
You want to create things in your life. That is why you came down to earth. You want to take actionable steps to achieve things, not have them fall into your lap. It really isn’t satisfying to get things that way. I know it may at times feel like it would be so much easier but trust me, it is much less satisfying.
Law of Attraction will help you out with inspired action. Inspired action is so much better than painful, mind-numbing action. So, use the Law of Attraction to help you along the way. Use it to reveal the next, most rewarding step for you.
Law of Attraction Misconception #5 – Your Manifestations Are Created From This Life Alone
Yes, some of your manifestations are created from this lifetime but others are not. In fact, many are. But many are also created from previous lifetimes on earth and from your time spent in the spiritual realm.
For example, the family that you are born into was chosen by you while you were in the spiritual realm. You chose them based on different lessons you wanted to learn that are the best for your progress here on earth.
So, you manifested being born into a certain family. Your free will here determines what you do with that. Whether you chose to stay with your family or not. But by the Law of Attraction, you chose this certain aspect before you came down to earth.
Another example would be your physical body. You chose some things about it before you came to earth. For instance, you would have chosen your hair color and gender. It is up to you to decide if you want to change it when you are here. But what it originally looks like is chosen by you before you came here. That is how the Law of Attraction works even before you get here.
Law of Attraction Misconception #6 – You Can Turn Law of Attraction On & Off
The Law of Attraction is working all the time whether you are deliberately creating or not. You can’t turn it off. Many people think it only works when they ‘try’ to create. This isn’t the case.
That is why it is important to practice being in a positive vibe most of the time. If you are only practicing the Law of Attraction for 5 minutes a day and are miserable for the rest of the day then that is your dominant vibration.
Law of Attraction will attract to you your core vibration. You can’t turn the Law of Attraction off, that is a misconception.
Law of Attraction Misconception #7 – You Don’t Have Any Fear About What You Want
Fear may be stopping you from receiving your manifestations. Many people think they don’t have fear about the things they want, but they do. They may have an underlying fear that comes along with the thing they want.
For example, someone may want to become successful and famous. They want it so bad. But deep down inside they are afraid of what that will bring. It will bring more critics, more people trying to get money from them, and more people knowing their business. So even though they really want this thing, the fear is more powerful than the desire.
You may think that you don’t have fears but deep down inside they may be preventing you from achieving what you want.
Law of Attraction Misconceptions Conclusion
Now that you understand some of the Law of Attraction misconceptions you can work with it. The law of Attraction is a tricky Universal Law.
There are many pieces to it. But if you can understand a few of the pieces and work with them, then it will help you to create the life that you want. Try different things and find out what works best for you.
