How To Use The Law Of Assumption With Examples
Have you ever heard the term that ‘ASSUME’ makes an ass out of you and me? Well, in this case, it simply isn’t true. The law of assumption states that you want to assume in order to receive your desires through the law of attraction. Assuming is what actually brings your desires to you.
So, if you’ve heard that assuming is bad, we are going to be debunking that myth in this article which explains the law of assumption meaning, law of assumption examples, and how to use the law of assumption to work for you.
What is the Law of Assumption Meaning?
The law of assumptions states that what you assume to be true, will manifest into your life as long as you hold the belief that it is true for you. If you can think, feel and believe something is true for you, then it will have to show up in your physical reality as it is the law.
The law of assumption states that you can have anything you desire if you hold in your mind the end result of your desire and assume that your wish is already fulfilled.
How the Law of Assumption Works
The law of assumption works by you holding your desire in your mind and allowing your desire to be brought to you by a bridge of incidents that may or may not seem related.
So, if you have a desire and hold that desire as being done, a series of events will line up to bring it to you.
As I mentioned, it may not always look like it is bringing your desire to you, but as you look back you can see how the series of events contributed to bringing you what you want.
Only looking back can you see. It is quite difficult to see how everything is interconnected when you are in the middle of it.
When working with the law of assumption, your only job is to hold your vision. There isn’t any action that you necessarily have to do.
However, saying that, you will take action, but you may not know it’s related to your desire. The action will feel natural and normal to you. That is because when you are immersed in your wish fulfilled and holding that belief, your actions will naturally line up to help bring you what you want.
Law of Attraction Vs the Law of Assumption
There isn’t a huge difference between these two laws. However, there are some differences.
The law of attraction states that you attract what you want to you and the universe works on your behalf to bring it to you. You are assuming that this thing is yours already, so forces go to work to help you manifest your desire.
The law of assumption states that you are the universe and therefore nothing is separate from you. You assume that it is already yours as you are the universe so everything you desire is yours.
In my opinion, the law of assumption feels more powerful because it highlights oneness. Whereas the law of attraction in a way feels like a separate thing is bringing you what you want.
There is no separation as everything is interconnected and you are the one creating your life.

What Can You Manifest with the Law of Assumption?
You can manifest anything you want with the law of assumption. Here are a few examples of things you can manifest:
- A new vehicle
- A relationship
- A new house to live in
- Weight loss
- Your dream body
- Health
- Peace and fulfillment
- Business success
- Your dream job
- Money
- Gift cards
- Friendships
- Pets
You can manifest literally anything you can think of with the law of assumption. With this law, I’ve personally manifested money, relationships, better eyesight, weight loss, jobs, and my pets.

Is the Law of Assumption Real?
You may be asking yourself if the law of assumption is real? What I can tell you is that you have to try it for yourself and see what results you get. The same way you’d figure out if the law of attraction is real. What experiences have you had with it?
Personally, I’ve seen this law work in my life, so I believe it to be real. I pay attention to what I assume and then notice what manifests.
Who Discovered the Law of Assumption?
The American philosopher, Neville Goddard was one of the first to talk about the law of assumption. He goes over this law in his books, “Feeling is the Secret,” Your Inner Conversations Are Creating Your World”, and more.
Law of Assumption Examples – How to Manifest with the Law of Assumption
1. Manifest a New Relationship with the Law of Assumption
If you are using the law of assumption to manifest a new relationship, then you will act and assume as if you already have one. You don’t have to go crazy and throw away all the clothes in your closet to make room for your partner or buy extra groceries for them.
You can use the law of assumption in subtle ways to bring them into your life. For example, you can rsvp that you are bringing a guest to events that you get invited to.
You can envision what you and your partner are doing that day. You may think about what you and your partner are eating for dinner that day or what your weekend plans are.
You can buy a new outfit so that you have the perfect one for your first date with your new partner. How would you dress if you were meeting up with them?
You can think thoughts and do self-talk about your partner in your head. If you want, you can speak about them too!
However, personally, I wouldn’t speak about them to anyone I know just because I feel like it would be too much pressure. Also, they might think you are crazy if you are doing that all the time lol.
However, why not speak about them to strangers in a very subtle way. Maybe you tell the Starbucks barista that you and your partner are going to this new restaurant in town today.
You get to be creative and do whatever you want. I suggest that you go with things that feel natural to you. What would you actually be doing if you were with this partner?
Basically, when using the law of assumption, you are assuming that what you want is already done.
So, if your partner is with you right now, what kind of thoughts would you have, how would you feel, what would you be saying to other people about them and what would you be doing?
2. Manifest $15,000 with the Law of Assumption
Another law of assumption example is manifesting a chunk of money. If you are using it to manifest for example, $15,000 then are going to start thinking about what you’ll do with this money. You want this money for a reason, so I’d get really clear about what those reasons are.
Write down exactly how you’ll spend your $15,000. If you are wanting to buy something new, start searching for it online.
For example, if you are using some of the money to buy a new bed, then start doing your research as to which kind of bed you want to have. Find the perfect one for you and then save it in your shopping cart. Once you have the money, you will be ready to spend it.
You can also window shop and look at all the things you’ll buy. The way I would do it is to look at things as if you can buy anything you want but for right now you are choosing not to. You are deciding what you want first while knowing that you can buy it. This sends a message that you have the money, you are just taking your time deciding exactly which item or experience you want to spend it on.
When I began to manifest extra money, I’d go on Amazon and load my shopping cart with all the things I wanted. I then looked at that cart and get excited about receiving them. It wasn’t long after that I was able to buy most of them.
If you want the money to catch up on your bills, then assume they are all paid. Feel that sense of relief within you.
Basically, you are assuming you have $15,000 right now and you are now getting all the things lined up that your money is going to be used for.
3. Manifest a New Home with the Law of Assumption
If you are using the law of assumption to manifest a new home, then you would assume that the home that you want is yours already. You assume that you have the money to purchase the home you want.
So, ask yourself, what would someone with the money to purchase a home be doing? They’d be looking for their new home! Of course, you may receive your home in another way too, so you can imagine all the ways you can think of receiving it.
You would search the internet for the new home you want. You’d check out the new listings daily. You’d spend some time in your day visualizing your new home.
Where would you put the furniture? how many bedrooms does your new home have? Does it have a big backyard? Lots of windows? Fill in all the details.
Go to sleep at night happy that your wish is fulfilled. If any doubts creep into your mind, turn those thoughts around to “it’s already mine” or “it’s on its way” (if you have resistance to it’s already yours).
Examples of How I Used the Law of Assumption to Manifest Things into My Life
Law of Assumption Example #1 – Manifesting a Relationship
I manifested a relationship using the law of assumption before I even knew what this law was. But I assumed I’d have a relationship by a certain date, and it happened.
I received an invitation to my cousin’s wedding. On the invite, there was a spot to check off if it was just you coming or if you were bringing a guest. I was single at the time with no prospects at all. I had no reason to believe I’d be in a relationship and bring a guest at that time. My outside world didn’t provide any evidence of it whatsoever.
However, I wanted a relationship and I wanted to bring a guest. So, I checked off that I was bringing a guest. I knew that meant my cousin would have to pay for an extra plate at supper, but I was confident it would happen. I mailed back the invitation and completely let go of how it would happen, all while knowing it would. I assumed it would anyways.
Not long after that, a new man found me. I ended up bringing him to the wedding and my assuming had proven correct. I didn’t do anything or go out of my way to make anything happen. It happened very naturally.
Law of Assumption Example #2 – Receiving an Invite from My Boyfriend to Move in With Him
In this law of assumption example, I manifested my boyfriend asking me to move in with him. I wanted it to be his idea, so I never brought it up with him before this.
I wanted to move in with him for a while, but he had never mentioned it, and nothing seemed to be happening. One day, I happened to be on the phone with my internet provider and they were trying to convince me to sign a 2-year contract. I hate contracts and told them I couldn’t in case I move. They said, “that’s ok if you move, you can just move your services with us.” I live in Canada and so I replied, “I might be moving to Germany.” They agreed that in that case, I couldn’t move my services with them.
Germany is where my boyfriend lived and before that, I had not received an invitation to move there. Later that night, my boyfriend asked me to move to Germany to live with him! I almost couldn’t believe it. I spoke it earlier in the day and that night, my assumption came true.
I was so confident and assumed it would happen that I spoke it to a stranger. I let it go and then the law of assumption did its magic and began to form in the physical reality.
I also want to point out that earlier that morning I decided that something good was going to happen to me. I didn’t know what, but I was determined to have a great day.
Law of Assumption Example #3 – Receiving My Dream Job
A long time ago I was looking for a job and I wasn’t having much luck. I was beginning to feel desperate. I had just received a computerized accounting diploma and wanted to use it but because I had no experience yet, no one wanted to hire me.
I went on many interviews to jobs not related to my field of study. They all made me feel sick because I didn’t want any of those jobs.
The last interview I went on was for a dishwasher position at Boston Pizza. I needed money like yesterday but really didn’t want the job.
The manager called me and said the position was mine. Out of my mouth, I spoke, “thank you but I actually just received another offer at an oilfield company and I’m going to take it.” I hadn’t received an offer. I hadn’t even received a phone call or an interview. But I assumed it was mine as I wanted this job.
So, I called up the oilfield company to see if they received my resume (inspired action) and he said it was at the very bottom of the pile but to come in for an interview right now since he had me on the phone. I went in and received the job within 10 minutes and started my new job the next day.
In this case, I assumed that the job was mine because I was not going to accept the alternative of having a job I hated that I’d probably end up quitting anyway. As soon as I used the law of assumption, I followed through with the inspired action. It was the smoothest process toward my dream job (at the time) after that.
Everything happened really fast as soon as I assumed what I wanted was mine. I also think that saying it out loud to someone helped to solidify it in my mind that it was mine. I told someone else it was mine before seeing any sort of external evidence whatsoever.
Final Thoughts
The law of assumption is very similar to the law of attraction but with a bit of a twist. While they both have to do with manifesting, the law of assumption is assuming something is true and then bringing that into your reality.
I’ve found the law of assumption works great when you have a strong belief. If you have a strong belief and a strong desire, then it magnifies the law of assumption. Of course, you can manifest without a strong desire, but I’ve found having a strong desire speeds up the process of bringing it to you.
Next time you are manifesting something, try out the law of assumption! Assume what you want to be true and don’t let your mind tell you otherwise. Keep the dominant vibration of ‘it is yours already’ and it will flow into your life.
