Do you find it difficult to meditate daily even though you want to and know it’s good for you? You are not alone!
Do you find things get in the way such as time to do it, motivation, quiet time alone, and other obligations?
If you are reading this post, you probably know how important daily meditation is and you want to do it, but you just can’t seem to find the motivation to get started and stick with it.
I admit it, I never used to meditate daily. I was all over the place and randomly did it when I felt like it. I felt guilty being a spiritual person, yet I just couldn’t get on board with daily meditations.
But I figured out a way (out of pure desperation) to actually meditate daily and stick with it!
But First, Why Should You Meditate Daily?
There are so many reasons to meditate daily:
- Extra Clarity
- More Peace
- Less Stress & Anxiety
- Enhances Self-Awareness
- More Focus
- Enhances Self-Confidence
- Better Decision Making
- Physical Well Being
- Helps with Addictions
- Raises Your Vibration
I used to say, “I don’t have time to meditate. I’m too busy.” But the fact is, that you don’t have time NOT to meditate.
It is so powerful that it literally changes your day into one that benefits you. Everything you do throughout the day becomes so much easier, you have so much more clarity and you feel much more at peace.
The One Insight That Finally Helped Me to Be Able to Meditate Daily
A while ago, I was desperate to raise my vibration. Yes, desperate.
I was taking massive action in my life, but something was still off. I wasn’t seeing the results equivalent to my actions. I KNEW that there was an internal blockage in me that was preventing me from attracting what I wanted.
I understood that our outer reality is created by our internal reality. So, I knew I had to raise my vibration. I also knew that meditation was one of the best and fastest ways to do this.
I would meditate randomly, like when I felt like it and during the spiritual courses I took (because I was ‘forced’ to lol).
So, out of pure desperation to, first of all, feel better and second of all get myself back into alignment, I began to meditate daily. I began with 2-3 times a day because I knew how important it was.
I didn’t know what action to take at that time so I focused on meditating. I knew it would lead me to take the inspired action. This is where all your power is. An inspired action is so much more powerful than resistant action.
I am an action person and before I began meditating, I was taking 95% action and about 5% spiritual care/meditation. I knew this was out of balance and I knew better. My spirit guides kept trying to tell me to have more balance by giving me the “angel of balance” card, but I wasn’t listening.
It wasn’t until I felt desperate that I pulled back and thought about how I can move forward again. Daily meditation is what I decided to do.
What Happened When I Began Meditating Daily?
I noticed an immediate shift in my vibration when I incorporated meditation into my day. I felt more peaceful and less anxious.
For the first couple of days, I felt more tired which is extremely odd for me. I did begin to feel normal again after a few days but with less of my nervous and anxious energy. I also felt much happier and more relaxed.
I felt my vibration rise and all sorts of things happened that were due to a shift in my vibration. You can read about those things here, “11 Unexpected Things That May Happen To You When You Increase Your Vibration.”
I began attracting more experiences to me that felt good and that were aligned with my goals. I began attracting more abundance, clarity, and exciting ideas.
I was no longer stuck and able to move forward much more easily with an increased awareness of how I was creating my life. Things began coming to me more easily instead of me chasing them.
How Can You Begin to Meditate Daily?
1. Start Small
Begin with 5 minutes of meditation every day and gradually build up. Everyone can set aside 5 minutes for themselves.
If you do this daily, it will become a habit and a part of your day.
Eventually, you will enjoy meditating so much that you won’t have to force yourself to do it, you’ll WANT to do it. You’ll be feeling so good and receiving so much intuitive information that you’ll never want to stop.
2. Get Comfortable
There is no point in being uncomfortable when you meditate. You don’t have to be sitting up in a chair or cross-legged if it’s uncomfortable. Find your most comfortable position that you will still be able to stay awake in.
3. Make It a Habit
As I mentioned above, if you do this daily, it will become a habit. Schedule it in your daily planner every day for a time when you know that you’ll most likely stick with it.
After 30 days, you will have made it into a habit, and it will be much easier to stick with.
4. Find Your Why
Decide why meditation is so important to you. Do you want to raise your vibration? Or maybe you want more focus and clarity? Maybe you just want to feel a sense of peace within you?
Whatever your why is, write it down and look at it daily. This will help to keep you motivated to stick with it during those times it is more difficult.
My Favorite Recommended Meditation Program
I tried all sorts of different meditation programs when I began meditating. I did guided meditations, music-only meditations, silent meditations, and binaural beats meditations.
I found the ones that were the most helpful to me were the binaural beats meditations and also the guided ones.
Binaural beats are amazing for quickly shifting your brainwaves into a meditative state which in turn speeds up the process of you having to try and concentrate on your own. Essentially you work less, and the music takes care of some of the work for you.
My favorite meditation program is iAwake Technologies. Their tracks have binaural beats for helping you to get into the meditative state quickly.
They have a huge variety of tracks all geared towards a specific purpose. Whether you are looking for a releasing meditation or a sleeping one or even a workout one, they have it all! (You can read my full review here).
iAwakes tracks one of the fastest ways I’ve found that I get into that relaxed, meditative state. Their tracks are geared towards spiritual individuals who are looking for the best tools to enhance their meditative practice.
You don’t have to deal with ads or any other distractions when you listen to iAwake’s tracks.
I also love their new app! It is so easy to listen to music on my phone.

Bottom Line: How I (FINALLY) Started to Meditate Daily
Desperation isn’t a bad thing, especially if it gets you to create a new, healthy habit.
Out of pure desperation to change my life, meditation helped me to increase my vibrational frequency in order to move forward in my life and create more abundance.
Once you begin to meditate daily, it will gain momentum and it will become a habit. This will make it so much easier to stick with. Starting is always the hardest part (of most things).
You may even find that you really begin to enjoy daily meditation and that you crave it and look forward to doing it every day.
