12 Tips To Cure Anxiety Naturally (& Spiritually)

If you found your way to this article, then you are looking to get rid of your anxiety. Maybe you’ve had it for as long as you can remember or maybe it’s new for you. Either way, you may be wondering if it is possible to cure anxiety naturally? If so, how do you do it?
It is possible to reduce and even cure anxiety naturally, but it takes a bit of mindfulness. There are different things you can try to really take back control and not let your anxiety control you. I suggest trying a variety of things to see what works for you because everyone is different.
12 Tips to Cure Anxiety Naturally & Spiritually
1. Go Outside for a Walk in Nature
Nature and fresh air are amazing for reducing anxiety. If you can get outside for even a few minutes when your anxiety hits, you’ll notice an immediate shift.
Really breathe in the fresh air. Take a look around you at all the things in nature. By putting your attention on an animal, a tree, the sky, or something else in nature, it is enough to re-focus your thoughts and reduce your stress.
Sunshine is also amazing for reducing your anxiety. The sun gives you nutrients and gives you that warm and cozy feeling. It is the same color as your solar plexus also, so it will help to energize that chakra which is where some of your anxiety may be coming from (see #3 below).
Walking barefoot outside is amazing for grounding and helping to cure anxiety naturally as well. By connecting to nature in that way, it really helps to bring that peaceful energy the earth has into your energy.
2. Power Through It
This isn’t my number #1 recommendation; however, I know at times this is the only option. If you are at work and can’t do any of the other techniques, then you can try to power through it.
Try to not focus on the anxiety and distract yourself with something else.
If you are distracted you won’t have time to focus on your anxiety because your mind is busy. This will help to get rid of your anxiety because you won’t have time to focus on any negative thoughts (the ones that are giving you the anxiety in the first place.)
3. Deep Powerful Breaths in Through Your Solar Plexus
You may be experiencing anxiety in your solar plexus (located right above your navel). This is where your personal power lies.
When you are experiencing anxiety, you often feel a sense of powerlessness and have fear about the future. Anxiety is living in a fearful future and not being present in the here and now.
If you can take some really big, powerful breaths into your solar plexus chakra then it will bring you back into the present moment. By bringing yourself back, you will begin to experience more peace.
Really try and breathe into your belly and fill it up with air. Imagine white or yellow light (the color of the solar plexus) filling up your stomach and healing it.
4. Cure Anxiety Naturally by Meditating
Meditation raises your vibration which can instantly reduce anxiety. If you are feeling anxious, even 5 minutes of meditation will help to ease it. If you can, I recommend meditating anytime you feel your anxiety begins to kick in. This way you can catch it before it picks up too much momentum.
Meditation is a way of stopping thought. Often your anxiety comes from your thoughts. So, if you can stop those thoughts that may be causing you to feel bad, then your vibration will instantly lift and you will begin to feel more peaceful.

5. Invite It In & Feel It
One of the best ways to reduce your anxiety is to feel it. Invite your anxiety in and ask it what it wants to show you.
Often it’s your resistance against feeling it that makes it so much stronger.
By allowing it in, you will see that there is nothing to fear and that it doesn’t have power over you. You are in control – not your anxiety.
Make space to feel your anxiety. By inviting it in, you stop the resistance you have which makes you feel better.
Be willing to feel every part of it, no matter how painful it is. Ask it why it is here and what it wants to show you. This goes hand in hand with shadow work.
I know it sounds counterintuitive, but I’ve found this one of the fastest ways to get rid of anxiety.
6. Stop, Take a Break & Switch Your Energy
If you are doing a task that is causing you to have anxiety, then take a break, change your energy, and come back to it later.
Often when you come back to it later after switching your energy, your mind will be clearer, and you will be less stressed about it. You’ll get a lot more accomplished because you’ll be able to focus on the task at hand, not your anxiety (which will be significantly reduced or gone after a break.)

7. Balance Your Chakras
Your chakras are your energy systems that run up and down your body. They are your life force and contribute to how you feel both physically and mentally.
When your chakras are balanced, you feel really good both emotionally and physically.
Your mind and body are connected and if one is out of balance, then the other one will be too.

8. Ask Your Spiritual Team to Help You Cleanse Your Aura & Get Rid of Junk
Your spirit guides and guardian angels are always looking out for you and protecting you. They want you to have the best life you can. They work on free will and won’t interfere in your life (unless it’s a life-or-death situation) unless you ask.
So, invite your spiritual team to help you to balance your chakras, get rid of your anxiety, cleanse your aura, and get rid of any junk that is in your energy.
If you ask, they will help you!
This is great to do before going to bed because they can work on you while you sleep at night and really get rid of anything that is causing your anxiety.
9. Bring Your Energy Back to Yourself (Cut Cords)
You may have cords attached to the past that are preventing you from moving forward and causing you to be anxious.
These cords can be from people, places, old jobs, exes, old co-workers, old houses, etc. Basically, anything that is in your past that was a significant part of your life that you feel may be holding you back. You will probably have a sense that you are still holding onto something from the past.
This is especially important to do with anyone or anything that is very negative. If there is someone you don’t get along with or someone who complains all the time, really make sure to cut cords often with them so you don’t absorb that energy.
Cutting cords to your past will help to reduce your anxiety. This helps you to no longer take on the energy of that thing or person.
When you have cords of attachment, you may feel the energy of that thing a lot more, especially if you have very strong empathic abilities.
You can again ask your spiritual team to help you with this. Archangel Michael is especially powerful for cutting cords (he has a big sword.)
Then just imagine cutting all the negative cords to whatever you need to. Whoever and whatever comes to your mind is who you need to do this with. Always ask that this be done for everyone’s highest good.
Once all the cords are cut, imagine filling up the holes with white light.
This process doesn’t mean that these people or things will necessarily leave your life; it just means that the negative attachments are now gone. The negative things that are holding you back are now released and cleared.
You may feel a shift after this, and the other party may feel a shift as well. If you don’t that is totally normal too.
10. Evaluate Your Thoughts (And Change Them If You Can)
If you are feeling especially anxious, stop and ask yourself what you are thinking. I can pretty much guarantee it is a thought that isn’t particularly helpful to you.
If you are experiencing anxiety from a thought, it is either because your higher self doesn’t agree with the thought (it isn’t true and helpful), it is a fearful thought (which is usually where anxiety comes from) and it isn’t benefitting you.
If you aren’t aware that you are thinking something that isn’t helpful, then it is hard to change it. So, be sure to pay attention to your thoughts when your anxiety comes up.
See if you can switch it up as soon as you are aware. This will ensure that it doesn’t catch a ton of momentum and will be much easier to stop in the early stages to prevent and get rid of your anxiety.

11. Cure Anxiety Naturally by Grounding Yourself
An easy way to ground yourself is to go outside in nature and walk barefoot on the ground.
You can also imagine roots coming from the base of your spine or feet, connecting you to the earth. Imagine them going into the ground and to the center of the earth. Imagine they are strong roots and they are connecting you to the earth.
This is a great exercise to do daily as it will help to keep you grounded here on earth and reduce your anxiety.
Looking at the color red is also powerful because that is the color of the root chakra which is all about grounding and your physical experience.
Eating rooted vegetables is also great for grounding.
Going out by water is also very good. Water is extremely cleansing and reduces negativity and can cure anxiety naturally.
12. Journal (Shadow Work)
Journaling is really great for getting your thoughts out. If you keep your thoughts inside, then it will just cause you more anxiety. You need an outlet for getting them out. Journaling is a very healthy way to do this.
If you are having anxiety over a person, write them a letter and tell them how you feel. You probably won’t want to send it but just getting it on paper can significantly reduce your anxiety.
What you do with the letter is up to you – You can imagine sending it, burn it, rip it up or just file it away.
You can also write a letter to yourself if that feels right. Maybe you want to write a letter to yourself about your thoughts. Or maybe you write a letter to yourself, forgiving yourself for something you are holding onto. You may have forgiven the other person but are beating yourself up for whatever you did or didn’t do. Forgive yourself and allow yourself to move on.
Once you get out your thoughts, replace them with more empowering thoughts. How can you now change your thoughts to ones that empower you?

Having anxiety is not a great feeling and you shouldn’t have to live with it.
It is possible to reduce and even cure anxiety naturally by doing things that will calm your mind and re-focus your energy.
Once you become mindful, it will become easier and easier to notice the thoughts in your head and to switch them with more empowering thoughts.
